Sanford Chandler is the founder, owner, and CEO of Vertex Systems Inc. Founded in July of 1981, Vertex Systems was started as a Value Added Reseller for Digital Equipment Corporation selling accounting systems to local businesses.
Sanford recognized the need for a better and industry specific client payroll system for providers of human services. One of the company's first products, Workshop Information Manager (WIM) was created, with the help of the fine people at ARC Industries, and Vertex became one of the first application software companies to focus its efforts exclusively on the industry.
With the help of his wife, Joy Chandler, and a talented team of employees, Sanford built Vertex into the undisputed market leader in client-payroll systems for the entire industry. Sanford's philosophy of investing in the products, his employees, and the industry, has allowed the company to continue its growth and success. Today, Vertex Systems is a leading provider of enterprise information management solutions for human services organizations.

Prior to founding Vertex, Sanford Chandler was a successful manager of Computer Facilities Division for OCLC, Inc, a nonprofit online bibliographic organization serving libraries worldwide.
