Software Service Specialist

Are you ready for a change?

 

Vertex Systems is looking for individuals with general accounting knowledge or experience to help support and train our financial management software products. Staff accountants and full charge bookkeepers who are looking for a more dynamic, people-centric position are prime candidates.

 

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Providing telephone support for our current customers
  • Providing training of our financial management products to end users
  • Testing our software products prior to shipment to customers

Areas of experience that could be particularly useful include:

  • General ledger accounting
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Payroll processing and bank reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Fixed assets
  • Inventory
  • Production management or job costing

Account Executive

Vertex Systems is a technology solutions company that develops sells and supports business systems nationally to nonprofit organizations that serve people with disabilities. Our products are for Workshop Management, Case Management and Financial Management. Vertex has been in business for 26 years and has an excellent reputation and products. Our culture is one of openness, teamwork and helping others. We seek "A" level people and only those that with passion and that want to make a difference.

This position is responsible for adding new customer accounts in the assigned territory. Identifies and qualifies opportunities before executing the appropriate steps to nurture the prospect through the sales process. We are only seeking friendly hunters. You must work with prospects in a consultative way and be a problem solver with a competitive nature. Our marketing programs generate leads but you will also be responsible for generating your leads. Travel is less than 25 percent.

Most discovery, presentations and demonstrations are conducted using web conferencing. You must be comfortable using the telephone. Excellent telephone, presentation and problem solving skills are essential.

Compensation is a combination of salary and commission.

Marketing Assistant

Vertex creates intuitive, cost-effective information-management software designed specifically for organizations that serve people with disabilities, barriers to employment or independent living. For 25 years we have focused exclusively on the unique requirements of community-service agencies, helping them meet the complex, ever-changing demands of their consumers, regulators, and funding sources.

Due to expansion, Vertex Systems is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join the Vertex Marketing and Sales Team. You will be responsible for writing marketing materials, and executing an established marketing plan. Marketing experience with software products is preferred.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ability to write effective marketing letters, newsletter articles and emails
  • Create brochures and maintain website
  • Participate in increasing search engine optimization results
  • Organize webinars, tradeshows and events
Traits and Characteristics
  • A high level of self motivation
  • Demonstrated ability to write effective marketing materials
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated skill in good communication and good listening techniques

Qualifications/Education/Experience
